Cafe Des Amis Zydeco Breakfast

In a little town called Breaux Bridge smack in the middle of Cajun country there is a little cafe, the Cafe Des Amis. The building is circa 1890, originally a general merchandise store it later became a woman’s apparel shop and then an art studio. Eventually a coffee shop was added with the studio and Cafe Des Amis was born. Though the cafe is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday it is Saturday morning from 8:30-11:30 am that really draw the crowds. I give you, Zydeco Breakfast

    Now that is my kinda breakfast! What fun! I’m so bummed we missed that town on our way through, I KNEW we shouldda stopped. We went straight to Abbeville instead, which is also a great place to spend time. Very small town but big hearted people there.
