This small building was built in 1863. Washington was a Civil War boomtown, and this business was thriving, enjoying great popularity. That is, until it’s fate was sealed on April 14, 1865, when President Abraham Lincoln was shot here by John Wilkes Booth.

I’m a Canuck who wasn’t very great in Canadian history so USA history I know nothing about. What I do know however, as a Virtual Assistant, is how to do research on the web LOL! Would it be Ford’s Theatre in Washington, DC? http://www.fordstheatre.org/
We just got back from a fantastic trip in Caribbean and I’ve found the island I’m going to move to one day. It’s Curacao, on the the Dutch Achilles Islands…gorgeous! You have to get there one day
